Velocity
At City Church, one of our seven core values is Outreach. Our heart is not to grow a church but to reach out to and transform cities. One of the primary ways we do this is through our Velocity Ministries.
Local
Velocity Local is the ministry of City Church that focuses on going into and transforming the city by serving those in need around us. We do this primarily by partnering with local ministries we call "Community Partners." These Community Partners demonstrate the Kingdom and Christ's love in practical ways. Each month, we send 8-10 teams out with these ordinations into the city to demonstrate Christ's love. Below are our Community Partners for 2012.
Miracle Hill: Shepherd's Gate
- We serve the women and children of the shelter by building relationships and meeting needs.

Frazee Dream Center
- 4th Tuesday of each month | 3:45pm - 5pm
- We provide homework help for the K5 - 5th grade students.

Triune Mercy Center
- 3rd or 4th Saturday of each month | 9am - 1pm
- We work in the clothing closet and the literacy room meeting the needs of the homeless.

- We minister and love on those in the assisted living homes.

Diligent Hands, Gracious Hearts
- Lawn Care: 3rd Saturday of each month | 8:30am - 11:30am

The Generous Garden Project
- 1st Saturday of each month | 8am - 12pm
- We run a garden to provide fresh fruits and vegetables for families in need.

Sons and Daughters Ministry
- We encourage and serve orphans, widows and single parents in practical ways.

- Transforming the Judson community at every level.
